In Holland, the bike bell is required by law and rightfully so. It is extremely important to let riders or walkers ahead of you know that you are coming up from behind. The bicycle bell is especially important if you are carrying a dog. Trying to avoid someone that steps into your path can cause an accident. Don't forget your bicycle bell!
